Aditya-L1 Mission: ISRO’s solar mission Aditya-L1 has entered the hello orbit. Regarding this, ISRO Chairman S Somnath has said that today’s program was only to place Aditya-L1 in the correct halo orbit. Its installation in the right place is satisfactory.
Addressing the media on Saturday (January 6), Somnath said, “It was moving towards a high orbit. So we had to improvise a bit. At present, according to our calculations, it is in the right place. However, we will keep an eye on it for the next few hours and see if it is in the right place.”
‘It happened as predicted’
He said, ” This is quite satisfying for us, as it marks the end of a long journey together. It has reached its last point 126 days after launching. Reaching the finish line is an anxious moment for anyone. We were completely sure about this. So it happened as predicted. We are very happy.”
‘If there is a change, we may have to make improvements’
ISRO Chairman said that if there is even a slight change in it, we may have to make improvements in it. . We do not expect this to happen. We also have particle measurements of what is coming out of the Sun. In addition we also have low and high energy X-ray measurements.
He said that we also have a magnetometer, which monitors the space magnetism field. Many people are interested in knowing this effect. It is expected that a lot of scientific information will be available in the coming days. It is noteworthy that Aditya L1, launched from Sriharikota, Andhra Pradesh on Saturday, went through its last and very complex process and entered the Lagrange Point.
