Airlines Bomb Threats: For the past few days, planes in the country have been receiving bomb threats. So far, about 200 planes have received bomb threats. However, the good thing is that no suspicious items have been found in any plane. But due to these threats, airline companies have suffered a lot. Also, passengers have had to face a lot of problems. The central government is also serious about the daily threats to planes and has ordered an investigation.

How much loss to airline companies?
According to information received from sources in the Civil Aviation Ministry, due to the constant bomb threats to the planes, a loss of more than Rs 500 crore has been incurred so far. Airlines land flights at nearby airports instead of their designated airports, which leads to more fuel consumption.
Arrangements have to be made for rechecking the aircraft, accommodating the passengers in hotels and taking them to their destination. The airline companies also pay parking charges to the airport where they make an emergency landing. They arrange for everything from tea and water to food for the passengers of the flight.
So far 200 planes have received threat calls
Flight crew members and pilots are also charged over duty. Airline companies also suffer losses when their flight time schedule is disrupted. According to information, so far about 200 planes have received bomb threat calls. Due to this, airline companies have suffered losses of more than Rs 500 crore.
What did the companies say about receiving threats to their planes?
On Tuesday, 10 Air India planes, 10 Indigo planes, 5 Vistara and Aksa planes received threats. Vistara spokesperson said that today some planes received security threats on social media. We immediately alerted the concerned authorities and are following all security procedures as per their instructions.
An IndiGo spokesperson said that the planes received a security alert. After the alert, we worked closely with the concerned authorities and standard operating procedures were followed. The passengers of these flights disembarked safely.
An Air India spokesperson said that some Air India flights scheduled to take off today had received threats. Following the laid down protocol, the concerned authorities were immediately alerted and all security procedures are being strictly followed as per the guidance of regulatory authorities and security agencies.
