Heatwave Alert: The heat has started increasing as soon as April began. Meanwhile, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) issued an alert regarding the heat wave and said that the heat will increase further in the coming days.
IMD released a video and said that there is a possibility of heat wave at different places in Odisha, Jharkhand, Rayalaseema and West Bengal on 4-6 April 2024. Apart from this, the temperature will also increase in Kerala, Karnataka, Telangana, Andhra Pradesh and Jharkhand. There is a possibility of heat wave here too.
However, the Meteorological Department said that there will be no significant change in the weather in North India i.e. Delhi, Rajasthan and other states including UP. IMD recently gave information about what the weather will be like throughout April.

How will the weather be in April?
The Meteorological Department had recently said that between April and June, there will be severe heat and heat wave in South India including the plains of the north. The IMD had posted on social media X and wrote, “During April 2024, more than normal heat wave days are likely over many parts of the South Peninsula and adjoining northwest central India and parts of eastern India and the plains of northwest India.
Which states will be most affected?
IMD Director General Mrityunjay Mohapatra had said that heatwaves are expected to continue for several days in Central India, northern plains and some states in South India. These states include Gujarat, Maharashtra, North Karnataka, Odisha, Andhra Pradesh and Madhya Pradesh.
