Amit Shah Speech in Rajya Sabha: Home Minister Amit Shah said in Rajya Sabha on Tuesday, “Congress wants to give reservation to Muslims by increasing the reservation limit by 50%. As long as BJP has even one member in both the houses, we will not allow reservation on the basis of religion, as it is against the Constitution.” During the discussion on the Constitution in Rajya Sabha, Shah delivered a one-and-a-half-hour speech, emphasizing the need to respect the Constitution in both words and deeds. He criticized Congress, saying, “A strange sight was seen in this election. The Constitution was not waved in the general assembly. Congress leaders tried to get the mandate by waving the Constitution and lying.

The Constitution is not a matter of waving; it is a matter of faith and devotion.” Shah further added, “The roots of democracy in the country are very deep. It has shattered the arrogance and pride of many dictators. Today, we are the fifth largest economy in the world, proving wrong those who doubted India’s ability to achieve economic self-reliance.”

In his speech, Shah touched upon significant issues, including Article 370, reservation, and the Emergency, while also indirectly addressing Rahul Gandhi’s “Mohabbat Ki Dukan” narrative. He asserted that democracy in India has always triumphed over challenges and continues to strengthen the nation.

Shah also recited Dushyant Kumar’s poem on the Emergency, “One doll has life in many puppets,” highlighting Congress’s actions during that time. He remarked that the Constitution should be more than a political tool; it should represent unwavering devotion to the nation and its democratic principles.

1- Our democracy is deep: ‘The roots of democracy in the country are deep. It has shattered the arrogance and pride of many dictators. Those who used to say that India will not be able to become economically self-reliant, today we are the fifth largest economy in the world. This is a moment of pride for all of us. 2- Our Constitution is not a copy: ‘No one should think that our Constitution is just a copy. The Constitution is not a copy. If you look at it through foreign glasses, you will not see Indianness. A leader has come, he calls himself young at the age of 54. He keeps shouting that he will change the constitution. BJP made 16 changes in 16 years. Congress also made changes. How was their test?
