IMD Weather Update: The Meteorological Department has predicted rain in many states of North India today (January 9). IMD has issued orange alert for Haryana, Punjab, Delhi, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan.
It is extremely cold in many states of the country at this time. Due to dense fog, the problems of the general public have increased. The speed of trains has become slow. The effect of fog is also visible on flights.
The Meteorological Department says that a western disturbance is going to be active from today i.e. Tuesday (January 9, 2024), due to which there is a possibility of rain in many states of North India.
IMD says that there may be light rain in the capital Delhi on Tuesday. There will be light fog here this morning. The effect of fog was seen at IGI Airport in Delhi, due to which 47 flights were delayed.
According to the Meteorological Department, Monday (January 8) was recorded as the coldest day of this year. Yesterday the minimum temperature reached 5.3 degrees. IMD says that the temperature of Delhi on Monday was equal to the temperature of Nainital.
