At the same time, according to Arab diplomats, 58 Egyptians are included in the new deaths reported on Thursday. Giving information, he said that out of the 658 Egyptians who died, 630 were non-registered pilgrims. In total, 1,081 deaths have occurred during the annual pilgrimage in about 10 countries.

Hundreds of thousands of unregistered pilgrims have been expelled from Mecca this month, Saudi officials said.

58 Pakistanis died in Haj pilgrimage

An Arab diplomat told AFP on Thursday that people were exhausted because of being chased by security forces ahead of Arafat Day. The diplomat said the main cause of death among Egyptian pilgrims was heat, which causes high blood pressure and other problems. A diplomat told AFP that 58 people have died in Pakistan so far out of about 150,000 pilgrims.
