Reliance Industries has reported a modest growth in profit for the third quarter, with net profit rising by 1.6 per cent compared to the same period last year. However, the company’s revenue showed a strong performance, increasing by 10 per cent during the quarter.
The Mukesh Ambani-led conglomerate said the steady rise in revenue was driven by strong performance across its retail, digital and oil-to-chemicals businesses. Despite higher operating costs and global market pressures, the company managed to maintain stable profitability.
Reliance’s retail business continued to expand during the quarter, supported by new store openings and growing online sales. The company’s digital arm, Jio, also posted steady growth in subscribers and data usage, helping boost overall earnings.
The oil-to-chemicals segment faced challenges due to weak global demand and lower refining margins. However, the company said operational efficiency and strong domestic consumption helped limit the impact on overall profit.
Reliance Industries’ consolidated revenue for the quarter rose 10 per cent year-on-year, reflecting strong consumer demand and expansion across key business segments. The company also continued its focus on new energy projects, including solar manufacturing and green hydrogen initiatives. Industry analysts said the results highlight Reliance’s ability to maintain stable growth despite global economic uncertainty. The company’s diversified business model continues to provide resilience against volatility in any single sector.
