Prime Minister Narendra Modi will inaugurate the India AI Impact Expo 2026 on Monday at the Bharat Mandapam, as more than 2.5 lakh people are expected to attend the summit, and arrangements have been made for smoother traffic flow, especially for students in the national Capital during the mega event. French President Emmanuel Macron and Brazilian President Lula da Silva will also attend the event. Ministerial delegations from over 45 countries would be participating in the summit. The UN Secretary General and senior officials from several international organisations will also join the deliberations.
The mega event will also feature 13 country pavilions, showcasing international collaboration in the AI ecosystem. These include pavilions from Australia, Japan, Russia, the United Kingdom, France, Germany, Italy, the Netherlands, Switzerland, Serbia, Estonia, Tajikistan and Africa. The exhibition will serve as a national demonstration of AI in action, where policy meets practice, innovation meets scale, and technology meets the everyday citizen.
For India, the event is as much about signalling capability as it is about intent — showcasing its deep talent pool, expanding digital public infrastructure and growing startup ecosystem, while positioning itself as a key architect of responsible, scalable and inclusive AI solutions for the world.
The Expo will bring together global technology firms, startups, academia and research institutions, Union ministries, State Governments and international partners. It will host over 300 curated exhibition pavilions and live demonstrations, structured across three thematic chakras — people, planet and progress, the statement said.
The event will be closely watched globally as it unfolds, given that some of the biggest names shaping the tech narrative are slated to be part of it. For India, the global summit underlines the nation’s intent to not merely be a participant, but a key architect in shaping the rules, standards and opportunities of the AI age. At its core lies the ambition to secure a seat at the global high table of technology leadership and help shape the next phase of Artificial Intelligence development.
