Two sisters, aged 33 and 28, were found dead inside their home in south Delhi’s Malviya Nagar on Thursday evening, while their mother was discovered unconscious in another room. Police suspect that the mother may have killed her daughters before attempting to take her own life.
According to police officials, the incident was reported at 6.10 pm at the Malviya Nagar police station. A relative informed the police that the family members were not opening the door despite repeated attempts.
A police team rushed to the house and found the main door locked from the inside. Officers forced the door open and entered the premises. During the search of the house, they found the bodies of the two sisters in separate rooms.
One of the women was discovered lying with a pillow placed over her face, while the other had ligature marks on her neck. In another room, the police found their mother lying unconscious. She was immediately taken to the AIIMS Trauma Centre.
