Royal Challengers Bengaluru (RCB) has announced that there will be no victory parade in Bengaluru following their successful IPL 2026 title defence. Instead, the franchise has urged fans to celebrate responsibly from their homes.
Shortly after defeating Gujarat Titans in the final in Ahmedabad, RCB issued a message on social media thanking fans for their support and asking them to avoid large public gatherings. The team encouraged supporters to enjoy the historic moment with family and friends in a safe and controlled manner.
The decision comes in the backdrop of the tragic stampede outside the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in June 2025 during celebrations of RCB’s maiden IPL title. The incident, which resulted in multiple casualties, had led to increased scrutiny over crowd management and safety measures in Bengaluru.
In their official message, RCB said the victory belongs to the fans and encouraged them to relive the celebration responsibly. The franchise emphasized that safety remains a top priority while marking the team’s achievement.
On the field, RCB secured a commanding win over Gujarat Titans in the final, chasing down 156 runs in 18 overs with five wickets in hand. Veteran batter Virat Kohli starred with an unbeaten 75 off 42 balls, guiding the team to their second consecutive IPL title.
Under the leadership of Rajat Patidar, RCB became only the third franchise in IPL history to defend their title successfully, joining Chennai Super Kings and Mumbai Indians in an elite group.
