Raipur: The BCCI Emerging Men’s Tournament is scheduled to begin on July 6. On Tuesday, the All India Junior and Senior Selection Committees announced the BCCI squads for this tournament. Three players from Chhattisgarh have successfully secured spots in the selected teams. Varun Singh Bhui has secured a place in Team A, while Mayank Verma has made it to Team B, and Ayush Pandey has been selected for Team D. Their selection across these various teams is based on their outstanding performances during the emerging players’ camp. The Chhattisgarh State Cricket Association (CSCS) has congratulated the players from the state on their selection. The tournament will be held at the Centre of Excellence in Bengaluru, featuring four teams, and will run until July 24. Three multi-day matches will be played among the country’s emerging cricketers, giving them the opportunity to play under the guidance of top BCCI coaches.
Ayush Pandey has also secured a spot in the India A team
Prior to this, Chhattisgarh’s opening Ranji batsman, Ayush Pandey, was selected for the India A team. Both Ayush and Mayank participated in the Under-25 emerging camp held from April 13 to May 7, while Varun Singh Bhui showcased his talent at the Under-23 emerging camp during the same period.
Ayush is the first player from Chhattisgarh to achieve this
Ayush Pandey, who has already demonstrated his prowess in the Ranji Trophy, has earned a place in the India A team. Notably, he is the first player from Chhattisgarh to be selected to play for an India team. He has been chosen for the match against Sri Lanka, scheduled to take place between June 25 and July 5, where he will play as an opening batsman.
