Ketan Agarwal Murder Case: A new claim has emerged from Pooja Goyal, the mother of Siya—Ketan Agarwal’s fiancée and an accused in the case. Pooja Goyal states that on the night before the incident, Siya and Ketan had a video call during which Ketan’s mother also appeared. During the call, Siya expressed reluctance to visit the ‘track’ (or the fort site), but Ketan’s mother insisted that they go. Siya continued to say she did not want to go to the fort, while Ketan tried to persuade her to accompany him. This claim differs from the prevailing narrative, which suggests that Siya and Chetan took Ketan to the fort with the intention of murdering him and subsequently pushed him from a height.
Siya’s mother says: We are just as pained by Ketan’s death
Earlier, Pooja Goyal had stated that if her daughter were found guilty, she should face severe punishment. She remarked that if her daughter were convicted, she should be thrown from the exact spot where Ketan was thrown. Pooja Goyal said, “We feel the same grief over what happened to Ketan as his own family does.”
“I never felt that my daughter didn’t love him”
She added that if her daughter is found guilty in this incident, she should receive strict punishment. There were high hopes and deep emotional attachment regarding the marriage of Siya and Ketan. Ketan’s family had organized several events, including celebrations for Siya’s birthday. “I never felt that my daughter didn’t love him. Had Siya not been communicating properly, the other family would have certainly reacted to it.”
“In four months, Ketan’s family never complained about Siya”
Pooja Goyal maintains that if Ketan’s family had any objections, they should have raised them or complained. She noted that over the past four months, they had never heard of any fault on Siya’s part; complaints from Ketan’s family have only surfaced following this incident. Moreover, Pooja stated that they had made extensive preparations for the wedding. She mentioned that Ananta Resort in Udaipur had been booked for the occasion, with an estimated cost of ₹3 crore; in total, they were planning to spend ₹5 crore on the wedding.
