CG News: Major setback for Chhattisgarh government employees; ban on leave until July 17; Collector issues order.

Officials and employees in Chhattisgarh’s Manendragarh-Chirmiri-Bharatpur district have faced a significant setback, as District Collector Santan Devi Jangde has imposed a ban on leave. The district administration has gone into full alert mode in anticipation of the upcoming monsoon session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly. The ban on leave has been implemented to ensure that official work remains uninterrupted during this period.

The monsoon session of the Chhattisgarh Legislative Assembly is scheduled for July. To ensure the timely and factual provision of answers to Assembly questions concerning the district and to prevent any hindrance to administrative operations, Collector Santan Devi Jangde has issued a crucial order. According to the order, all forms of leave for government officials and employees in the district are prohibited with immediate effect for the duration of the monsoon session, scheduled from July 13 to July 17, 2026.

Furthermore, all officials and employees have been instructed to remain present at their headquarters. The Collector clarified that if any official or employee needs to take leave or leave the headquarters due to extremely urgent or unavoidable reasons during the Assembly session, prior approval from the competent head of office is mandatory. Permission to leave the headquarters or proceed on leave will be granted only after obtaining written consent from the respective Head of Department or Head of Office.

The district administration’s objective is to provide accurate and authentic responses to Assembly questions within the stipulated timeframe and to ensure the seamless conduct of administrative tasks at the government level. To this end, all departments have been directed to remain vigilant, complete necessary preparations, and work in coordination. This order issued by the Collector has come into effect immediately.
