Ayushman Card Campaign: In Chhattisgarh’s Balodabazar district, Collector Kuldeep Sharma held a review meeting on Tuesday to assess the progress and effective implementation of government schemes. The meeting covered the activities of various departments, including Health, Education, Agriculture, and Women & Child Development. The Collector instructed officials to ensure that the benefits of schemes reach eligible beneficiaries, pending tasks are completed on time, and monitoring is improved. He also directed departmental officials to work in coordination with one another.
Review of the ‘Suposhit Bachpan’ (Well-Nourished Childhood) Campaign for Malnourished Children
While reviewing the recently launched ‘Suposhit Bachpan’ campaign, the Collector directed that there should be no negligence in the distribution of nutritious laddus to malnourished children at Anganwadi centers. He instructed the District Programme Officer of the Women & Child Development Department to continuously monitor the campaign.
He directed that a record be maintained of the entire process—from the manufacturing of laddus and their supply to Anganwadi centers, to the actual feeding of the children. Additionally, he ordered the preparation of a time-bound action plan to admit severely malnourished children to Nutrition Rehabilitation Centers (NRCs) and ensure they undergo medical check-ups at nearby health centers.
Instructions to Provide Fertilizers, Seeds, and Loans to Farmers
In view of the Kharif season, the Collector reviewed the availability of fertilizers and seeds, as well as the distribution of Kisan Credit Card (KCC) loans in the district. He instructed officials to ensure timely availability of fertilizers to farmers in accordance with government directives. He also directed that arrangements for the distribution of fertilizers and seeds be ensured in new cooperative societies as well. Furthermore, he instructed officials from the Agriculture and Cooperation departments to work in coordination to register farmers who had been left out of the ‘AgriStack’ system.
Special Campaign to be Launched for Ayushman Card Issuance
While reviewing the progress of Ayushman Card issuance, the Collector directed that a special campaign be launched for beneficiaries who have not yet received the card. He set a target of generating 5,000 Ayushman cards per week to ensure that the maximum number of people can avail the benefits of health schemes.
