CG School News: A demand has been raised to introduce a ‘no-bag day’ once a week in schools across Chhattisgarh. Idris Gandhi, Chairman of the Chhattisgarh Urdu Academy, has written to Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, suggesting the implementation of a ‘No Bag Day’ in all government and private schools in the state.
He proposed that on this day, students should engage in practical, life-oriented activities rather than using textbooks. Children’s practical knowledge could be enhanced through training in areas such as first aid, cyber security, road safety, environmental conservation, financial literacy, yoga, sports, local arts, and personality development.
In his letter, Idris Gandhi noted that similar initiatives have yielded positive results in other states across the country. He believes that implementing this initiative in Chhattisgarh would reduce mental stress among students, foster a greater interest in learning, and make education more skill-based and experiential. He has urged the state government to take a positive decision regarding this proposal.
