Bullet Train Recruitment 2026: A recruitment notification has been released for India’s first bullet train project. The National High Speed Rail Corporation Limited (NHSRCL), the body overseeing this project, has invited applications for 237 Technician posts across various technical trades. The bullet train project is one of the largest undertakings in the rail infrastructure sector. Work is currently underway to construct India’s first high-speed rail corridor between Mumbai and Ahmedabad. NHSRCL is a joint-sector company involving the Government of India and the relevant state governments, established to implement high-speed train corridor projects in the country.

Candidates wishing to join the bullet train project can apply online via the official website, nhsrcl.in, until August 5. Selected candidates may be posted anywhere within NHSRCL or the Mumbai-Ahmedabad High-Speed Rail (MAHSR) project. According to the NHSRCL notification, vacancies are to be filled for roles such as Civil/Track Fitter, Mechanic, Draftsman, Surveyor, Electrician, Welder, Plumber, Painter, Electrical, Signaling & Telecom, and Rolling Stock Technician. Selection Process
The selection process consists of three stages: a Computer-Based Test (CBT), document verification, and a medical examination. The exam schedule will be released on the official website prior to the test. Candidates who qualify in the CBT and document verification stages will be required to undergo a medical examination before final selection. Selected candidates will initially undergo a one-year probation period. They will be appointed on an ‘absorption basis’ under the NE-2 pay level. The salary will range from ₹35,000 to ₹1,10,000.
