A great gift for the women of Delhi! With the ‘Pink Saheli’ Smart Card, enjoy free bus and metro travel—and now, shopping too.

Pink Saheli Smart Card: The Pink Saheli Smart Card launched for women in Delhi will no longer be limited to just free bus travel. A ‘Full KYC’ enabled card can also be used like a debit card, allowing women to shop at malls and stores in addition to traveling by bus and metro.

Two types of Pink Saheli Smart Cards are available
DTC is currently issuing two types of National Common Mobility Cards (NCMC).

The first card is issued via ‘Zero KYC’. This requires only an Aadhaar card and an OTP sent to the mobile number linked to it.
The second card is issued after ‘Full KYC’. This involves completing the bank’s full application process, after which the card is mailed to the applicant’s home, functioning like a debit card.
How to get the Pink Card with debit card functionality
If you wish to obtain a Pink Saheli Smart Card that functions as a debit card, you must apply online via the authorized bank’s website. You will need to provide an Aadhaar card with a Delhi address, a passport-sized photograph, and personal details. The bank may also request a PAN card if necessary. Subsequently, a Video KYC process will be conducted. Once all information is verified, the card will be issued and sent to your address.

Usage for buses, metro, and shopping
Presenting the ‘Full KYC’ Pink Smart Card entitles women to free tickets on all DTC buses. To use the same card for the metro, Namo Bharat trains, or shopping, funds must first be loaded onto it. Once topped up, the card can be used just like a debit card.

Card mandatory from August 1st
Starting August 1st, women in Delhi must possess a valid Pink Saheli Smart Card to avail of free bus travel. DTC has launched a special campaign for this purpose and urged women to get their cards made promptly.

According to DTC directives, from August 1st, only women holding a valid Pink Saheli Smart Card will receive the ‘Pink Ticket’. The card must be tapped upon boarding the bus to avail the benefits of the free travel scheme.

Blue cards will be issued for general passengers, while orange cards will be issued for senior citizens, persons with disabilities, and other passengers eligible for concessions. However, the process of issuing orange cards has not yet begun.
