CG School Exam Time Table, Raipur: There is significant news for students in Chhattisgarh’s government schools. The Directorate of Public Instruction has released the timetable for quarterly and half-yearly examinations for classes 1 through 12 for the 2026-27 academic session. Additionally, instructions have been issued to all District Education Officers (DEOs) to constitute district-level examination committees to ensure uniformity in the conduct and evaluation of exams across all districts.
District Examination Committee to be Formed in Every District
According to the order issued by the Directorate of Public Instruction, a unified examination system will be implemented across all government and government-aided schools in the state. To facilitate this, a ‘District Examination Committee’ will be constituted in every district.
Composition of the Committee
The District Education Officer (DEO) will serve as the Chairperson of the District Examination Committee, while the Assistant Director (Administration) will act as the Member Secretary. Other members will include two senior principals, a nominated Block Education Officer (BEO), and a cluster coordinator or headmaster.
Key Functions of the Committee
The committee will form a panel of subject-expert teachers from the district to prepare sets of high-quality and confidential question papers aligned with the curriculum and will certify the quality of these papers.
The printing and bundling of question papers must be carried out with strict confidentiality, and they are to be distributed to the block and cluster levels two days prior to the commencement of the exams.
The committee will ensure continuous inspection of schools at both the district and block levels to prevent cheating and maintain discipline during the examinations.
Following the conclusion of the exams and the evaluation of answer sheets, the committee will ensure the proper maintenance and record-keeping of the evaluated answer sheets and the marks obtained. Examination Timings
Primary Level (Classes 1 to 5): 10:00 AM to 12:30 PM
Middle Level (Classes 6 to 8): 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM
High and Higher Secondary Level (Classes 9 to 12): 1:00 PM to 4:00 PM
Quarterly examinations will be held from September 21, 2026, to September 30, 2026.
