A low-pressure area is likely to form over West Bengal and the adjoining coastal areas of the north-west Bay of Bengal. Under its influence, heavy rainfall is expected across Eastern India over the next three days, with the possibility of extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places in Odisha on August 8.
There is a high probability of heavy to very heavy rainfall at isolated locations in Kerala, coastal Karnataka, and south interior Karnataka over the next two days. Extremely heavy rainfall is also likely at isolated places in north Kerala today, August 8.
Due to the influence of a low-pressure area over south-west Uttar Pradesh and adjoining regions, heavy to very heavy rainfall is expected on August 8 in north-west Madhya Pradesh, as well as in Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi. Scattered heavy rainfall is likely to continue over parts of Northwest India, adjacent Central India, and Northeast India for most of this week.
