New Rules for CG Government Jobs: Major change regarding government recruitment; a recruitment exam calendar will now be released every year in August.

CG Govt Jobs New Rules: The Chhattisgarh government has implemented the ‘Chhattisgarh Staff Selection Board Rules-2026’ to make the recruitment process for Class III and Class IV posts more transparent, technology-driven, and time-bound. According to a notification from the General Administration Department, these new rules came into effect immediately upon their publication in the official gazette.

CG Recruitment Rules 2026: Online Application and Aadhaar Authentication Mandatory

Under the new rules, all candidates must register a profile and complete Aadhaar authentication before applying. At the time of application, candidates must also specify their preferences regarding the post, department, and appointing authority; these preferences cannot be changed later.

Written Exam to be MCQ-based

The written examination for recruitment will be based on Multiple Choice Questions (MCQs). Model answer keys will be released after the exam, and candidates will be invited to submit objections. The final result will be declared only after the resolution of these objections.

New Rules for Skill and Physical Tests

For posts requiring a skill test or physical efficiency test, a list of candidates—numbering 15 times the advertised vacancies—will be released based on their written exam scores. The concerned department must complete this second stage of the examination within three months.

No More Waiting List

A major change under the new rules is that no waiting list or reserve list will be issued after the final selection list is published. Selected candidates must complete Aadhaar authentication and upload necessary documents online within 15 days. Appointment letters will be issued following document verification. Candidates must assume charge within 30 days of receiving the appointment letter; otherwise, the post will be deemed vacant.

Recruitment Calendar to be Released Every August

The Staff Selection Board will now release an annual examination calendar for Class III and Class IV recruitments every August. Additionally, a tentative calendar for professional, academic, and eligibility examinations will be published annually to ensure candidates receive timely information about the exams.

Recruitment Process to Become More Transparent

The government states that the objective of these new rules is to make the recruitment process transparent, fair, and time-bound. Online applications, digital verification, MCQ-based examinations, and selection and appointment within a fixed timeframe will enhance transparency in government recruitment and provide convenience to candidates.
