Raipur: There is significant news for youths in Chhattisgarh preparing for police recruitment. Following instructions from Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai, the dates for the Subedar, Sub-Inspector Cadre, and Platoon Commander Main Examination-2024 have been revised. The exam will now be held on November 2, 3, and 4, 2026. Previously, the police recruitment main exam was scheduled for October 24, 25, and 26; however, the dates clashed with the teacher recruitment examination scheduled for October 25. This created a situation where candidates preparing for both exams faced the prospect of having to skip one of them. Upon being apprised of this clash in exam dates, Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai directed officials to resolve the issue faced by the candidates.
Subsequently, the Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) released the revised dates for the police recruitment main examination. Chief Minister Vishnu Deo Sai stated that the welfare of the youth is paramount to the government. The government’s priority is to ensure that no eligible candidate is deprived of an opportunity due to a clash in exam dates. He noted that young people work hard for years for competitive examinations and should not be forced to choose between two opportunities simply because of a scheduling conflict.
According to the CGPSC, the Subedar/Sub-Inspector Cadre/Platoon Commander Main Examination-2024 will now be conducted on November 2, 3, and 4, 2026. Candidates selected for the main examination will be required to submit a separate online application. Detailed information regarding the application process and the examination will be issued by the Commission. Candidates are advised to keep a close watch on notifications published on the official CGPSC website.
