Rain havoc continues! Orange alert in Rajasthan; heavy rain forecast from UP and Bihar to Kashmir and Maharashtra.

New Delhi: Heavy rainfall is likely in several states across the country today. According to the India Meteorological Department (IMD), heavy rain is forecast for Haryana, Chandigarh, and Delhi from August 14 to 19. Widespread rainfall is expected in Haryana, Chandigarh, and Punjab on August 14 and 15.

Likelihood of Heavy Rain in UP

Heavy rainfall is expected in Eastern Uttar Pradesh between August 14 and 19. Western Uttar Pradesh may also witness heavy rain from August 14 to 17. Thunderstorms and lightning strikes are likely in Uttar Pradesh on August 14.

Weather in Hill States

Heavy rainfall is likely today in Himachal Pradesh, Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and Uttarakhand. Heavy rain is forecast for Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh, and surrounding areas from August 14 to 19. Very heavy rainfall is possible in Himachal Pradesh on August 14, and similar conditions are expected in Uttarakhand on the same day.

Weather in Rajasthan

Rainfall is likely in Eastern Rajasthan on August 14, with the possibility of heavy rain in some areas. Rainfall activity is expected to remain limited in other parts of Rajasthan. The Meteorological Department has issued ‘Yellow’ and ‘Orange’ alerts for parts of south-eastern and eastern Rajasthan, predicting heavy rainfall over the next 48 hours.

Heavy rainfall is likely in Madhya Maharashtra today. Scattered rainfall may occur in Marathwada and Saurashtra-Kutch, while rainfall activity is expected to continue across Gujarat.

Rainfall is expected in Coastal Karnataka, Kerala, and Mahe on August 14. Scattered rainfall may occur in some areas of Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Rayalaseema, Telangana, interior Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu. Earlier, the Meteorological Department had also issued an alert for heavy rainfall.
