Dubbed the ‘Computer History’ feature for the ChatGPT desktop app on Mac, it can track your activity across select apps and websites. The concept is straightforward: instead of you having to explain what you were doing previously, the AI ​​can observe your computer activity and utilize that context in future conversations. Announcing the feature on X, OpenAI stated, “ChatGPT can now remember your activity across apps and websites on your computer.” This feature is disabled by default, so users must manually enable it. You can also choose which apps and websites are included in your computer history, pause data collection, and review or delete your history whenever you wish.
