The notice clarifies that the spread of misleading rumors or AI-generated content about his personal life on digital platforms will result in defamation proceedings against the responsible parties.
Govinda Takes a Firm Stand
According to ANI, the notice issued by Govinda warns digital platforms, media organizations, and content creators against uploading, broadcasting, publishing, or sharing any content that tarnishes the image of Govinda or his family or presents them in a distorted manner. It states that those found responsible could face civil and criminal action, and the actor may seek damages of up to ₹100 crore for the harm caused to his and his family’s reputation.
Objection Raised Against AI Content and Deepfakes
Govinda’s legal team has specifically objected to the use of morphed images, deepfakes, and AI-generated synthetic content. The notice warns that legal action will be taken if AI or other digital technologies are used to distort or misrepresent the actor’s voice, photographs, or details regarding his personal and family life. Any such content will invite legal action under laws related to defamation, invasion of privacy, misuse of identity, and cybercrime.

Govinda has taken this step at a time when a video featuring a conversation between Rakhi Sawant and Sunita Ahuja is making waves. In the video, Rakhi Sawant calls Sunita Ahuja in front of the paparazzi; Sunita mentions that Govinda was planning a second marriage, which is why she withdrew her divorce petition. Even prior to this video, Sunita Ahuja has—both directly and indirectly—accused Govinda of having extramarital affairs on several occasions.
