Chhattisgarh News: The Raipur Police Commissionerate conducted raids on spa centers across the city on Saturday. A total of 15 police teams, comprising over 100 officers and personnel, carried out an intensive, large-scale inspection. Surprise raids were conducted at 30 spa centers, causing a stir among the establishments. The operation became a topic of widespread discussion in the city. According to the police, objectionable material was found at two spa centers: ‘Elena Spa Center’ (under the jurisdiction of DD Nagar Police Station) and the ‘Thai Spa Center’ at Ambuja Mall (under the Pandri Police Station area). The police took necessary preventive action against the managers and staff of both centers.
The police teams inspected the spa centers on several parameters. They checked customer registers, the availability of CCTV cameras, and their recording capabilities. Additionally, documents related to police verification for center operators, managers, and staff were scrutinized. The police also examined records regarding employees’ ages, staff registers, and other essential documentation. The Raipur Police Commissionerate has clarified that the inspection and monitoring of spa centers in the city will continue, and further checks will be conducted. If any violations of regulations are found at a center, legal action will be taken against the concerned operator, manager, and staff in accordance with the law. This campaign by the Police Commissionerate is considered effective for monitoring the activities, documentation, and security arrangements of spa centers.
This campaign was launched with the aim of conducting an intensive inspection of the city’s spa centers. The operation was carried out across three zones under the direction of Deputy Commissioners of Police (DCP) Robinson Guria (West Zone), Tarkeshwar Patel (Central Zone), and Deepmala Kashyap (North Zone). The police teams formed for the inspection were led by Assistant Commissioners of Police (ACP) Snehil Sahu, Nandini Thakur, and Purnima Lama.
