CGPSC Exam 2026: 608 candidates to undergo faceless interviews; new system implemented for the second time.

CGPSC Exam 2026: The Chhattisgarh Public Service Commission (CGPSC) will conduct interviews for the State Service Examination starting September 21. A notable feature of this process is the use of “faceless interviews.” This is the second time the Commission is conducting such interviews; similar measures were implemented last year to ensure transparency. PSC expert Ankit Agarwal explained that in a faceless interview, candidates are not required to disclose personal details during the session, nor is any information regarding the candidate shared with the board members. This approach ensures the board remains neutral towards the candidates. The system was introduced to eliminate bias and enhance transparency, having been used for the first time last year.

Interviews for 608 Candidates

Based on the availability of candidates who secured the minimum qualifying marks (categorized by class and sub-class) in the State Service Main Examination, 608 candidates have been shortlisted for interviews on a provisional basis. The list of shortlisted candidates has been uploaded to the Commission’s website. These interviews will be held from September 21 to October 1. The recruitment drive aims to fill 265 posts across 20 departments.

Interviews to be Held in Two Shifts

The interviews will be conducted in two shifts, except on the final day (October 1), when only one shift will be held. Document verification will take place one day prior to the scheduled interview date—at 9:30 AM for the first shift and 1:30 PM for the second shift—followed by the interview on the designated day. Candidates must report to the Commission’s office at 9:00 AM for the first shift and 1:00 PM for the second shift. Candidates who fail to appear for document verification will not be permitted to participate in the interview. Further details are available on the Commission’s website.

Absence During Document Verification Means No Interview Opportunity

The Commission has clarified that candidates who do not appear for the document verification process will not be allowed to participate in the interview. Therefore, candidates must arrive at the Commission’s office on time, in accordance with their scheduled date and shift. Detailed information regarding the interview and document verification has been provided in the notice issued by the Commission. Candidates are advised to verify the details regarding the scheduled date, time, and required documents in advance.
