CG Flight News: Aircraft engine fails mid-air; Bilaspur-Delhi flight makes emergency landing; 54 passengers were on board.

CG Flight News: Panic ensued on Friday aboard an Alliance Air flight en route from Bilaspur to Delhi due to a mid-air technical glitch. One of the aircraft’s engines failed during the flight. There were a total of 54 people on board, including crew members. Upon detecting the technical issue, the pilot immediately informed Air Traffic Control (ATC) and requested permission for an emergency landing. Reports indicate that the pilot noticed the technical fault while flying near Meerut. Recognizing the gravity of the situation, the pilot contacted ATC. Subsequently, a full emergency was declared at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGI), and the aircraft was landed safely.

According to reports, the Alliance Air flight departed from Bilaspur for Prayagraj at approximately 10:45 AM on Friday. It then took off from Prayagraj for Delhi around 12:33 PM. While flying near Meerut, the aircraft developed a technical fault in one of its engines. Thanks to the pilot’s presence of mind and coordination with ATC, the aircraft was landed safely at Delhi Airport around 2:15 PM.

Following the safe landing, all 54 passengers and crew members were evacuated safely; there were no reports of any casualties. The passengers breathed a sigh of relief after the aircraft landed safely. Taking a serious view of the incident, the aviation regulator, DGCA, has ordered an investigation into the matter. The probe will examine the cause of the technical glitch and the reason behind the engine failure.
