Raipur: There is important news for candidates preparing for government jobs in Chhattisgarh. The state government has amended the rules for direct recruitment to Class III and Class IV posts. Following the implementation of these new rules, the appointment process for these positions will be conducted according to the newly established system.
Under this new system, posts in these categories have been divided into distinct groups based on educational qualifications and the nature of the job. Changes have also been made to the recruitment examination process.
Posts Categorized into 7 Groups
According to the new rules, Class III and Class IV posts have been classified into seven groups. These include categories such as Graduate/Post-graduate level, Education, Uniformed Services, Health, Higher Secondary level, Engineering, and Class IV level posts.
Under this system, the recruitment process for various posts—such as Patwari, Sub-Engineer, Constable, and Peon—will be determined based on their prescribed educational qualifications.
Two-Part Recruitment Examination
Under the new rules, the recruitment examination for various posts may be conducted in two parts. The first part will be a general examination, while the second part—for posts requiring specific subject knowledge—may be subject-specific.
This approach ensures that candidates are tested not only on their general knowledge but also on their knowledge related to the specific post and field of work.
Technical Qualifications Mandatory for Engineering Posts
Relevant technical qualifications will be mandatory for posts in the engineering category. For the post of Sub-Engineer, a minimum three-year diploma or a BE/B.Tech degree in the relevant branch is required.
Candidates possessing the relevant technical qualifications will be eligible for recruitment in branches such as Civil, Electrical, Mechanical, and IT.
Graduation Mandatory for These Posts
A bachelor’s degree will be mandatory for posts such as Labour Inspector, Cooperative Inspector, Food Inspector, and ADO (Assistant Development Officer).
Meanwhile, for the post of Revenue Inspector, a bachelor’s degree or a Class 12 qualification combined with a diploma in Civil Engineering Surveying will be required. Typing Test for Assistant Grade-3 and DEO
For the posts of Assistant Grade-3 and Data Entry Operator, candidates will be required to possess a bachelor’s degree, hold a one-year computer diploma, and pass a typing test.
Once the new recruitment rules come into effect, direct recruitment for various Class III and Class IV posts will be conducted based on these prescribed qualifications and the examination system.
