With mobile recharge plans steadily becoming more expensive, a low-cost plan can be highly beneficial for dual-SIM users. State-owned telecom operator Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) has once again introduced a First Recharge Coupon (FRC) priced at just ₹1. Under this plan, new BSNL users receive calling, data, and SMS benefits with a service validity of 24 days.
24-Day Validity for ₹1
This ₹1 offer from BSNL is an FRC (First Recharge Coupon). It is available exclusively to customers purchasing a new BSNL SIM card. The plan offers a validity of 24 days and is reported to be available nationwide.
With this FRC, users get unlimited voice calling, 1GB of data per day, and 100 SMS daily. This translates to a total benefit of 24GB of data and 2,400 SMS over the 24-day validity period.
Viewed in this light, the cost for 24 days of service is remarkably low. However, this offer cannot be used to recharge an existing BSNL number.
Offer Valid Only on New SIMs
A key feature of BSNL’s ₹1 FRC is that a customer can use it only once. Purchasing a new BSNL SIM is mandatory to avail of this benefit. To keep an existing SIM active, customers must use BSNL’s regular prepaid recharge plans.
A new BSNL SIM can be booked online. Alternatively, customers can purchase the SIM from a nearby BSNL office or an authorized retailer.

BSNL has introduced this ₹1 FRC offer in the past as well. The company frequently rolls out such offers; therefore, availability and terms are subject to change. It is advisable to check BSNL’s current rules and availability before recharging. Work on BSNL’s 4G network is also underway.
BSNL is working on network upgrades to strengthen its 4G network across the country. BSNL 4G services are already available in several regions. Alongside network expansion, the company is working towards providing better mobile internet and voice calling services to users.
