Delhi SIR: A major update has emerged regarding the Special Summary Revision (SIR) of the electoral roll in Delhi. The Election Commission has extended the deadline for adding names, making corrections, and filing claims and objections regarding the voter list to October 30, 2026. Consequently, Delhi’s final electoral roll will now be published on December 4, 2026; the date for the final list’s release was previously set for November 4.
According to the Election Commission, eligible citizens whose names do not appear in the draft electoral roll can have their names added by filling out Form-6. Applications for any corrections to the voter list can also be submitted through the prescribed procedure.
Special camps at 14,947 polling booths
The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer, Delhi, is organizing special camps on September 27 at all 14,947 polling booths across the capital. The objective of these camps is to include eligible citizens—whose names have not yet been registered—in the electoral roll.
According to the Commission, approximately 3.25 lakh applications via Form-6 have been received in Delhi so far. Form-6 is used to include the names of new voters in the electoral roll.
Special camps for the youth
The Office of the Chief Electoral Officer has announced that special camps will be held on September 29 and 30 at colleges, universities, and other educational institutions in Delhi. These camps will specifically facilitate the registration of young voters aged 18 to 25 in the electoral roll.

How to add your name offline
Voters can obtain Form-6 or Form-8 from the concerned BLO, ERO, or AERO. After filling in the correct details, attach self-attested copies of the required documents and submit the form to the BLO or the relevant election office. Ensure you obtain a receipt upon submission.
How to apply online
To apply online, visit the website voters.eci.gov.in. After logging in or registering, select the appropriate form. Fill in the required information, upload the necessary documents, and submit the application. Keep the reference number generated after submission safe so that the application status can be checked later.
The Election Commission has appealed to eligible citizens to complete the process of registering their names in the electoral roll and making necessary corrections—either through special camps or online—within the stipulated timeframe.
