Bhopal: During a ‘Divya Darbar’ (divine gathering) at the renowned Bageshwar Dham in Chhatarpur, Madhya Pradesh, the presiding head, Dhirendra Krishna Shastri, made a significant appeal regarding the safety of devotees. He specifically advised women visiting the Dham to remain vigilant and avoid traveling alone. He emphasized the need for caution in light of current circumstances, citing a recent incident that occurred in Vrindavan.
What did Dhirendra Shastri say to the visiting devotees?
Dhirendra Krishna Shastri urged devotees visiting Bageshwar Dham to be mindful of their safety. He specifically advised women not to visit the Dham alone. If, for any reason, they have to travel alone, they should exercise extra caution.
He also advised devotees to maintain a distance from strangers. He cautioned them against placing blind trust in unfamiliar individuals at the Dham or during their journey and warned against going anywhere with them.
Additionally, a request was made to avoid prolonged stays at the Dham. He advised devotees to plan their travel and accommodation arrangements carefully and proactively.
Security across the entire area is not feasible – Dhirendra Shastri
Dhirendra Krishna Shastri stated that the Dham management is responsible for security and arrangements within the temple premises and the main hall. However, he noted that it is not possible to provide security coverage across every location in the approximately 5-kilometer radius surrounding Bageshwar Dham.
Given this, it is essential for devotees to remain aware and vigilant about their own safety. He appealed to devotees to exercise caution in any suspicious situation and to avoid accompanying strangers.
Appeal to devotees to remain vigilant
Dhirendra Shastri stated that, considering the current circumstances, everyone should act wisely and cautiously. He urged devotees not only to remain vigilant themselves but also to raise awareness about safety among those around them.
