Rakhi Sawant: Actress Rakhi Sawant is once again in the headlines due to a legal matter. A Jhansi court has issued a non-bailable warrant against her in a 16-year-old case. The case relates to her TV show, ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf,’ in which a Jhansi resident named Laxman Prasad Ahirwar was allegedly humiliated. Laxman’s mother had filed a complaint against the actress. It is reported that Rakhi Sawant failed to appear in court despite the issuance of summons, which led to this action.
Why was a warrant issued against Rakhi Sawant?
The case dates back to 2010. At that time, a dispute had arisen between Laxman Prasad Ahirwar and his wife, which eventually reached the TV show ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf.’ It is alleged that during the show, Rakhi Sawant called Laxman “impotent” (‘naamard’), which left him mentally distressed.
Laxman’s mother, Savitri, alleged that her son was publicly humiliated on the show. Subsequently, Laxman’s health deteriorated, and he passed away while undergoing treatment in a hospital. Following this, his mother filed a case against Rakhi Sawant. Now, in connection with this long-standing case, the court has issued a non-bailable warrant.
The matter reached the show following a marital dispute
According to reports, Laxman worked as a vegetable vendor. He married a woman named Anita in February 2010. About seven months into the marriage, a dispute arose between the couple, leading Anita to move back to her maternal home.
Anita alleged that a relative of Laxman had improper intentions toward her. She claimed that despite informing her husband about this, he did not pay any heed. Anita further alleged that Laxman would consume alcohol and physically assault her.
This dispute was featured on the TV show ‘Rakhi Ka Insaaf’ in 2010. It is alleged that Lakshman felt deeply humiliated by the remarks made during the show.
Mother alleged that her son was humiliated
In her complaint, Lakshman’s mother, Savitri, alleged that her son was humiliated on the show and referred to as ‘impotent’ (naamard). According to her, following the incident, Lakshman began avoiding social interactions and stopped stepping out of the house. He also suffered from sleepless nights.
His mother stated that Lakshman used to say that Rakhi Sawant had ruined his life. Later, as his health deteriorated, he was admitted to a hospital, where he subsequently passed away.
Currently, the matter is back in the spotlight. Following the issuance of a non-bailable warrant by the court, attention will now be focused on the subsequent legal proceedings. The allegations made in the case and the facts pertaining to the court proceedings should be verified based on official records.
