CG Teacher News: Strict instructions have been issued regarding the leave application process for teachers and staff of the School Education Department in Chhattisgarh. Offline leave applications will no longer be accepted. The Directorate of Public Instruction (DPI) has directed all District Education Officers (DEOs) in the state to ensure that the entire process—from the submission of leave applications to their approval—is conducted exclusively through the HRMIS portal.
Applications must be submitted via the HRMIS portal
According to the directives issued by the Directorate of Public Instruction, it is mandatory for all officers, staff, and teachers working under the School Education Department to submit leave applications online through the HRMIS portal. The processes for reviewing applications and granting leave will also be handled entirely online. The department has instructed all District Education Officers to ensure strict compliance with this system.
No action will be taken on offline applications
It has come to the attention of the DPI that, despite the implementation of the online application system, leave applications are still being accepted via offline channels in some locations. Following reports that such applications were being processed, the Directorate has clarified the situation: no action will be taken on leave requests submitted offline. Teachers and staff must follow the prescribed online procedure to obtain leave approval.

Online System Already in Place for Attendance
An online system for recording the attendance of teachers and staff in the School Education Department has already been implemented via the VSK app. Now, emphasis is being placed on digitizing the process for leave applications and their subsequent approval. This will ensure that records pertaining to staff attendance and leave remain accessible online.
Instructions to District Education Officers for Implementation
The Directorate of Public Instruction has directed all District Education Officers to ensure strict compliance with these new instructions. Under this system, teachers and staff must submit leave applications through the HRMIS portal, and the relevant authorities must complete the approval process online.
Following this directive, the practice of submitting only paper-based leave applications will no longer be accepted within the School Education Department. Teachers and staff must adhere to the prescribed online procedure when planning their leave.
