CAA: Home Minister Amit Shah has said that the Citizenship Amendment Act (CAA) will be implemented in the country before the Lok Sabha elections. He said that CAA is an act of the country, we will definitely notify it. It will be notified before the elections and will also be implemented before the elections. There should be no confusion regarding this.
Amit Shah said these things at the ET Now-Global Business Summit on Saturday. He said that the Congress government had promised to implement CAA. When minority people were being persecuted in many countries, Congress had assured the refugees that they could come to India. They will be given citizenship here, but now Congress is going back on its word.
The Home Minister said that the minority communities of our country, especially the Muslim community, are being instigated. CAA cannot take away anyone’s citizenship, because there is no such provision in it. CAA is an act that will provide citizenship to refugees suffering atrocities in Bangladesh, Afghanistan and Pakistan.
9 Major Announcements by Amit Shah on Various Issues: From CAA to Election Plans, Here’s What You Need to Know?
1. On Lok Sabha elections 2024:
This will be the first election of independent India, in which elections will be fought on the agenda of making India a great nation and the public’s decision will also come on the issue of great India. PM Modi has put before the people of the country the agenda of self-reliant India and developed India by 2047.
I believe that before 2047, most of its work will be completed in the third term of PM Modi. As far as the election results are concerned, there is no suspense left. Those against whom we have to contest the elections also seem confident in the Parliament that this time also they will have to sit in the opposition.
2. On BJP’s ideology:
BJP is firm on its ideology, its agenda and its programme. Many friends come and many friends go. BJP has never expelled any partner from NDA, we have always followed the religion of alliance. Our ideology has remained the same since the inception of Jan Sangh till today and there will be no change in it in future also. Whoever finds this ideology right is welcome to join us.
3. On NDA vs INDI alliance:
This election is not about NDA vs INDI alliance but between extreme disappointment and bright future. This election is between corrupt governance and zero tolerance for corruption. This election is between those with a policy of talks with terrorists and those with a policy of eliminating terrorism.
4. On the White Paper:
It has become clear from the White Paper that Congress and corruption are synonymous with each other. By committing scams worth Rs 12 lakh crore in UPA 1 and UPA 2 alone, they had created an atmosphere of despair among the public. Today, after 10 years, even our opponents cannot accuse us of even a single paisa scam, we have given this type of governance.
5. On the controversy over PM Modi’s caste :
I want to make it clear to the country that Modi ji’s caste was listed in Gujarat on July 25, 1994. At that time the Chief Minister of Gujarat was Chhabil Das Mehta of Congress. Narendra Modi had not contested a single election till then.
6. On Rahul Gandhi:
Rahul Gandhi’s policy is – lie, speak publicly and speak again and again. It is very unfortunate that anyone is discussing the caste of a leader like PM Modi. PM Modi has said that I am OBC and OBC is a class, not a caste. Perhaps Rahul Gandhi ji was not taught this by his teachers.
7. On Bharat Ratna:
The three great men who were awarded Bharat Ratna on Friday have made important contributions to the development of the country in their respective times. Today, if the land of farmers in the country is in their name, then the entire credit for it goes to Chaudhary Charan Singh, because when Jawaharlal Nehru was the Prime Minister, he had come up with a plan for collective farming on the communist pattern, then Chaudhary Charan Singh was the only such leader. There were those who opposed it and left the Congress.
8. On Ram Temple:
For almost 500 years, people all over the world believed that the temple of Lord Ram should be built at the same place where he was born. There were many movements, legal battles were fought, but the matter was suppressed for years, sometimes due to appeasement politics and sometimes due to fear of law and order.
After the decision in favor of Ram Temple, there was no question of victory or defeat nor did anyone take out a procession. Today a grand Ram temple has been built with pride.
9. On PM Modi’s policy:
The policy of the Narendra Modi government is very clear – to communicate with everyone, but even after the dialogue, if someone spreads unrest in the country with weapons, then take the harshest action possible against him, this is our clear policy. Is.
In our time (2019-24) there have been more than 20 peace agreements in the North-East. More than 9 thousand militants have laid down their arms and surrendered and have joined the mainstream. Our government has resolved many border disputes.
Shah had said in Kolkata – No one can stop CAA from being implemented
Last year in December, during a rally in Kolkata, the Home Minister had also said that no one can stop CAA from being implemented. Shah had cornered Mamata Banerjee on the issues of infiltration, corruption, political violence and appeasement. He had urged the people to remove the Mamata government from Bengal and elect BJP in the 2026 assembly elections.
At the same time, 12 days ago, Union Minister Shantanu Thakur had said that I guarantee that the Citizen Amendment Act (CAA) will be implemented across the country within 7 days. Thakur, BJP MP from Bongaon, was addressing a rally in Kakdwip in South 24 Parganas.
