Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Prime Minister Narendra Modi arrived in Pilibhit, Uttar Pradesh on Tuesday to settle political equations. During this, he addressed an election rally at Pilibhit Drummond Inter College ground in favor of UP government’s Public Works Minister and BJP candidate Jitin Prasad. But questions are still being raised about BJP MP Varun Gandhi because he was not seen on this stage as well.
BJP has fielded Jitin Prasada in place of Varun Gandhi from Pilibhit. But he has been missing since his ticket was cut. He has neither attended any party event nor election campaign. He had earlier kept a distance from CMÂ Yogi Adityanath’s public meeting. But now he was not seen even in PM Modi’s rally. Varun Gandhi has been an MP from Pilibhit twice, but this time the party has cut his ticket.Â
Where is Varun Gandhi?
However, when his mother and Sultanpur BJP candidate Maneka Gandhi was questioned about Varun Gandhi, she said, ‘Varun Gandhi and his wife are ill, both are resting.’ But even after this, political questions are being raised about Varun Gandhi and the distance he has created from the region and the party has become a topic of much discussion.
It is worth noting that through the rally, the Prime Minister has also tried to solve the electoral mathematics of the Lok Sabha seats around this Terai district. These seats include Bareilly, Shahjahanpur, Badaun and Lakhimpur and Dhaurahra. Many leaders including CM Yogi were present on his stage. A week ago, CM Yogi also addressed a Prabuddh Sammelan in support of the BJP candidate. Let us tell you that voting on this seat is going to be held on April 19 during the first phase.
