Congress Candidate List, Elections 2024: In view of the Lok Sabha elections 2024, Congress released another candidate list on Tuesday (30 April). Many big names are included in this list of candidates. Congress has announced candidates for four seats in three states in this list.
Congress has fielded actor-turned-politician Raj Babbar from Gurugram in Haryana. At the same time, Congress has expressed confidence in senior Congress leader Anand Sharma from Kangra seat in Himachal Pradesh.

Who is the candidate against Anurag Thakur?
Congress has given ticket to Satpal Raijada against Union Minister and BJP leader Anurag Thakur from Hamirpur Lok Sabha seat in Himachal Pradesh. Bhushan Patil has been made the candidate for Mumbai North seat in Maharashtra.
Raj Babbar lost two consecutive Lok Sabha elections
Former UP Congress state president Raj Babbar had contested the last two Lok Sabha elections from Fatehpur Sikri seat of UP. He had to face defeat both the times. On the other hand, if we talk about Anand Sharma, he has been one of those who have blown the trumpet against the Congress leadership.
These rebel leaders of Congress were called the G-23 group. Although this rebellion ended in a few months, leaders like Ghulam Nabi Azad and Kapil Sibal left the Congress and took a different path.

When will voting take place on these four seats?
Elections for Haryana’s Gurugram Lok Sabha seat will be held in the sixth phase i.e. on May 25. Voting for Himachal’s Kangra and Hamirpur seats will be held in the seventh phase (June 1). Voting for Maharashtra’s Mumbai North seat will be held in the fifth phase (May 20).
