Why did the PM choose May 14 as the date for his nomination ?

PM Modi has chosen 14th May as the date for filing his nomination. This may sound like a normal thing but if you look at this date carefully, you will know that this year 14th May is the great festival of Ganga Saptami. There is a mythological belief about Ganga Saptami that on this day the river Ganga descended on earth. PM mentions Maa Ganga many times and says that Maa Ganga has called him for service.

Pandit told the importance of PM Modi’s nomination on 14 May, Ganga Saptami in Pushya Nakshatra and what is the specialty of this day (In Detail)

According to Pandit Shiv Kumar Shastri, “Pushya Nakshatra is being formed on the day of Ganga Saptami. According to astrology, Pushya Nakshatra is considered the best among the nakshatras. Jupiter is the lord of Pushya Nakshatra and Pushya Nakshatra comes in Cancer and the lord of Cancer is Moon. Gajkesari Yoga is formed in the conjunction of Moon and Jupiter. Due to this, in the astrological mirror, Saptami Tithi, Tuesday, Pushya Nakshatra and Gajkesari Yoga are formed, which makes it an auspicious time for kings to achieve victory. That is why enrolling in this auspicious time is very auspicious from the astrological mirror.”

The Saptami Tithi of Shukla Paksha of Vaishakh month will start on 13th May at 5:20 pm and this Tithi will end the next day on 14th May, Tuesday at 6:49 pm. Considering the Udayatithi, Ganga Saptami will be celebrated on 14th May itself and taking bath on this day will be extremely auspicious. The auspicious time for worship of Ganga Saptami is being considered from 10:56 am to 1:39 pm.
