Elections 2024: Does BJP no longer need RSS? Know why this statement of JP Nadda Sparks Debate?

Elections 2024: JP Nadda said that RSS is an ideological front. They do their work ideologically and we do ours. We are managing our affairs in our own way and this is what political parties should do.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) National President JP Nadda has said a big thing about RSS. He said that the party is constantly growing and now it has evolved from a situation where it needed RSS. Now BJP is capable on its own and runs its work on its own. He said that RSS is an ideological front.

In an interview to The Indian Express, Nadda said that a lot has changed between the time of former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee and the present time. In this context, the presence of RSS has also changed. Earlier we were not such a big party and were incapable. We needed RSS, but today we have progressed a lot and are capable of moving forward on our own.

They do their work ideologically and we do ours

When asked if the BJP no longer needs the support of the RSS, Nadda said, “Look, the party has grown and everyone has got roles with their respective duties. The RSS is a cultural and social organisation and we are a political organisation. It is not a question of need. This is an ideological front. They do their work ideologically and we do ours. We are managing our affairs in our own way and this is what political parties should do.

Talked openly on Mathura and Varanasi too

Apart from this, JP Nadda also talked about Mathura and Varanasi. He denied that the BJP has any plan to build a temple at the disputed sites in Mathura and Kashi. He said that the BJP has no such idea, plan or desire. He said that our party’s system works in such a way that the party’s thought process is decided by discussion in the parliamentary board, then it goes to the national council which supports it.

This is the priority for the party at the moment

He said, “Prime Minister Narendra Modi has decided that the party’s focus will be on the poor, the oppressed, the Dalits, women, youth, farmers and the marginalised sections of society. These sections should be brought into the mainstream and empowered. We have to strengthen them.”
