Champai Soren Decision: Former Jharkhand CM Champai Soren has hinted at leaving JMM. He wrote on social media site X that ‘I have been insulted in the party. I was doing better work as CM. I was removed. Despite being the Chief Minister, I was called away from the program in the middle. I was asked to resign in the legislative party meeting.
A new chapter of my life is going to start from today. I have three options in this. First, to retire from politics, second, to form my own organisation and third, if I find a companion on this path, then to travel further with him.

Hemant Soren attended a program in Godda today. He said that ‘They have to be sent to Gujarat after a thorough sweep. These people come from Gujarat, Assam and Maharashtra and spread poison among the tribal backward Dalits. They make them fight with each other. They break homes and do the work of breaking parties and buying MLAs.’ He further said that ‘BJP’s agents are sitting in the Election Commission, it is not a constitutional institution.’
Champai Soren wrote on social media site X that- ‘JMM insulted me’
Champai Soren has written, ‘Johar friends, after watching the news today, many questions must be arising in your mind. What happened that brought the son of a poor farmer living in a small village of Kolhan to this point.
From raising the voice of workers against industrial houses at the beginning of my public life to the Jharkhand movement, I have always done politics of public concern. I have been trying to get the rights of the tribals, natives, poor, laborers, students and people of backward classes of the state. Whether I held any post or not, I was always available to the public, raising the issues of those people who had dreamt of a better future with the state of Jharkhand.
Meanwhile, on January 31, after an unprecedented turn of events, the All India Alliance elected me to serve the state as the 12th Chief Minister of Jharkhand. From the first day of my tenure to the last day (July 3), I discharged my duties towards the state with full loyalty and dedication.
During this period, we took many decisions in public interest and, as always, we were always available for everyone. The people of the state will evaluate the decisions we took keeping in mind the elderly, women, youth, students and every section of society and every person of the state.
One more thing, this is my personal struggle. Therefore, I have no intention of involving any party member in this or causing any harm to the organization. We can never even think of harming the party which we have nurtured with our blood and sweat.
JMM MLA from Kharsawan, Dashrath Gagrai, denies reports of joining the BJP
JMM MLA from Kharsawan, Dashrath Gagrai has denied the news of joining BJP. He has issued an affidavit in which he has written that ‘I deny the news of my joining BJP along with former Chief Minister of the state Shri Champai Soren ji. Misleading news is being circulated in the media about me that I am going to Delhi with former Chief Minister Shri Champai Soren ji. I deny these reports. We will eat half a roti but will not let the honor of Guruji fall down. JMM is a party of the soil of this state and I am proud that I am a soldier of this party.
Understand in 4 Points:
Will the Government Collapse if Champai Joins BJP? What Benefits Await the MLAs Who Side with Champai?
1- What will be the effect on the JMM government if Champai goes to BJP?
Even if Champai Soren and the MLAs with him go to BJP, there will be no effect on the government. 41 MLAs are required for majority. Currently there are 47 MLAs. According to experts, this change can definitely benefit the BJP in the upcoming assembly elections.
2- What is the benefit and loss possible for JMM and BJP from this manipulation in the upcoming assembly elections. Especially when BJP has recently made several failed attempts to topple the government.
BJP will become stronger in Kolhan due to this manipulation. The party may benefit in the upcoming elections. At the same time, it may be difficult for JMM, which has a strong hold in this area, to find a candidate in the upcoming assembly elections.
3- What benefit will the MLAs who go with Champai get in the elections?
According to experts, if the MLAs leave the party at this time, their image will be affected. An example of this was seen in the Lok Sabha elections. Geeta Koda contested the Lok Sabha elections from Singhbhum Lok Sabha on a BJP ticket. She left the Congress and joined the BJP just before the elections. The result was that she lost the Lok Sabha elections.
4- What effect will doing this just before the elections have on the image of the BJP? Is it working on a strategy to weaken Hemant more than its own benefit?
If the BJP does such manipulations, then JMM will try its best to capitalize on the fact among the public that the BJP has toppled the government by putting forward a tribal. JMM will give this message to the public that the BJP is anti-tribal, that is why it toppled the government in the guise of a tribal leader.
On the other hand, BJP is trying to show that the most senior leader of the party did not get respect. BJP will accuse JMM of nepotism.
