RSS Chief Bhagwat’s Bold Statement: ‘Have 3 Children’ – Warns Population Decline Below 2.1% Could Destroy Society!

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat urges families to have 3 children, warning population growth below 2.1% threatens society’s survival. Speaking in Nagpur, he emphasized family as society’s core unit.

RSS Chief Mohan Bhagwat Bold Statement: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh chief Mohan Bhagwat has called population reduction a matter of concern. Bhagwat said that the population growth rate should not be less than 2.1%. For this, give birth to 3 children instead of 2. This number is important so that the society survives.

The country’s population policy was decided in 1998-2002. According to this, if the population growth rate of a society goes below 2.1, then that society will automatically get destroyed. Bhagwat was speaking at a gathering at Kathale Kula Sammelan in Nagpur on Sunday. He said- Family is a part of society and every family is a unit.

“According to the country’s population policy set between 1998-2002, the population growth rate should not fall below 2.1%.”Mohan Bhagwat, RSS Chief

Statements have been made on population many times before

October 2021: Muslim population increased due to difference in population rate

During the Vijayadashami festival, the RSS chief said that due to the huge difference in the population growth rate between the years 1951 and 2011, the proportion of followers of religions originating in India in the country’s population has decreased from 88% to 83.8%. At the same time, the proportion of Muslim population has increased from 9.8% to 14.24%. Expressing concern over the imbalance, he had said that there should be a population policy.

July 2022 : Fertility rate falling below 2.1 can be dangerous

Bhagwat said again after a year – a comprehensive population control policy is needed. Which applies equally to everyone. We have to keep an eye on population imbalance. When a policy is applied equally to everyone, no one will get concessions. A few years ago the fertility rate was 2.1. Contrary to the fears of the world, we did better and brought it down to 2, but falling further can be dangerous.

July 2022: Animals also do the work of eating and producing children

Mohan Bhagwat attended the convocation ceremony of Sri Sathya Sai University of Karnataka in July 2022. During this, Bhagwat said- Animals also do the work of increasing the population and eating. This is necessary to remain the strongest in the jungle. Only the strongest will survive, this is the law of the jungle. This is not the case with humans. When the strong among humans protects others, then this is a sign of humanity.

Chief Ministers of Andhra Pradesh and Tamil Nadu also appealed to people to have more children

Expressing concern over the UN report, the Chief Ministers of Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh also asked people to have more children. Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister Chandrababu Naidu warned about the ageing population and said that his government is considering making laws to encourage large families and reverse old anti-population measures.

He said the increase in the elderly population could put a strain on the state’s economy, as is happening in Japan, China and many parts of Europe, where the number of elderly people is more than the youth. Naidu also said the fertility rate in southern states has come down to 1.6, which is lower than the national average of 2.1.

At the same time, Tamil Nadu Chief Minister MK Stalin also asked the people of the state to have more children. At a wedding ceremony in Chennai, he said that instead of accumulating 16 types of wealth, people should focus on having 16 children.
