Why veg thali became expensive
The prices of onion, tomato and potato have increased in the country. Due to this, the price of veg thali has also increased. Onion has become costlier by 40 percent, tomato by 36 percent and potato by 22 percent on annual basis in the financial year.
According to the report, the price of rice has increased by 14 percent compared to last year. The price of pulses has increased by 22 percent.
Non-veg thali contains only dal and chicken. The price of non-veg thali has come down to Rs 54.9 from Rs 9.2 last year. Before February, the price of non-veg thali was Rs 54 more. Due to Ramzan, the supply of non-veg has increased. The price of broil has increased by 5 percent.
