Movie Review: Kho Gaye Hum Kahan, Nowadays we live our lives only on social media. By that we mean most people check their phones 200 times a day. They also stalk someone or the other, that is, see what other people are doing on social media. Even after blocking someone, create another account and see what that person is doing. At least today’s generation does this a lot and this film shows this reality in a very brilliant way.

Story
This is the story of three friends, Ananya Pandey. Siddhant Chaturvedi and Adarsh Gaurav. Ananya and Siddhant live in the same flat. No brother, not in a relationship. They are not even live-in, they are friends and a boy and a girl can be friends. Siddhant lost his mother at the age of 9 and now he tries to ease his pain through stand up comedy. She is the funniest when she is the saddest. Ananya works but her boyfriend broke up with her so now her full time job is to see what he is doing on social media. With whom? Adarsh is a gym trainer and wants to open his own gym chain. The three friends together decide that all three of them will start this. But what happens then…how this world of social media changes their lives. To see this, you must watch this film on Netflix. You will know what you are doing on your phone and social media. What is right and what is wrong.
acting
Ananya Pandey has acted well in this film. After reading this line, trollers will say that he got the money but now he has acted well. Ananya’s character is similar to that of today’s youngsters and she has played this character with complete honesty. She looks real. It doesn’t seem like she is doing something which is not being digested. Siddhant Chaturvedi is a good actor and here too he proves it. He plays the character of a stand up comic amazingly. He also does stand up comedy in such a way that it seems like this could also be his career option. Adarsh Gaurav has done amazing work. He is in the role of a gym trainer. Looks super fit. When Malaika posts a photo with him, her facial expressions are the same as those of an ordinary gym trainer whose following on social media increases after this photo. Kalki Koechlin has also done a good job. Rohan Gurbakshani’s work is also good.
how is the movie
He is neither a young man, nor a Pathan, nor an animal, nor a donkey, this is what we live by. Watching this film you will remember that you too do this. Your friends also do this. This film is very close to reality. There is no Heropanti here. Everything is real. The film moves at its own pace. Neither does anything so shocking come that you get shaken up nor do you feel like stopping it, friend. Along with watching this film, you keep thinking that something like this happens around us too. In the age of social media, we are losing so much in the age of influencers. We want to live a life like others. We don’t celebrate holidays but post pictures on holidays. Go to get content. Our birthday anniversaries are becoming all social media events. This film gives us that reality check which is needed most in today’s times.
direction
Arjun Varan Singh has directed the film. He was an assistant director in Gully Boy and this is the first film he has directed. Watching the film it seems that he understands youngsters very well. He has made the film the way a film like this should have been made, no noise. Nor any Heropanti dialogues. Still the film touches you.
Overall, this film is a must watch and a must watch.
