Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has called a high level meeting regarding this incident and has ordered to shoot the miscreants. In view of the worsening situation, the Uttarakhand government has declared curfew in Haldwani and along with this has ordered to take action under UAPA against the rioters. CM Dhami reviewed the situation with the Chief Secretary and Director General of Police and appealed to the people to maintain peace. Uttarakhand government has called paramilitary force in the area after the incident.
Regarding this incident, Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami said that as per the orders given by the court, the administration team had gone to remove illegal encroachment. There was a clash between police and anarchists there. In which police and administration people have been injured.
Police and other central force contingents are being sent there immediately. Everyone is appealed to maintain peace, curfew has been imposed. Strict action will be taken against those who committed arson.
