In November last year, Rahul Gandhi had used words like pickpocket and panauti while giving a speech against Bharatiya Janata Party leaders, including Prime Minister Narendra Modi . When this matter reached Delhi High Court, the court had asked the Election Commission to take action regarding it.

The Election Commission has also sent a notice to Rahul Gandhi for using words like panauti and pickpocket for Prime Minister Narendra Modi. News agency ANI quoted sources as saying that the Election Commission has sent a notice to Rahul Gandhi on March 1 and asked him to take special care during campaigning. It is known that Rahul Gandhi is the star campaigner of Congress Party.

Delhi High Court’s decision and Rahul Gandhi’s reply also mentioned

Quoting sources in the report, it has been said that in view of the order of Delhi High Court dated December 21, 2023 and keeping in mind Rahul Gandhi’s reply on this, the Election Commission has issued an advisory to the Congress Party leader and will not inform him in future addresses. It has been asked to remain alert during this period. The Election Commission has asked Rahul Gandhi to inform all the star campaigners and candidates of his party about this advisory.
