Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Campaigning Ends for First Phase, See Which States Go to Polls on April 19

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: Voting will be held on April 19, 2024 under the first phase of Lok Sabha elections, while the results will be declared on June 4, 2024.

Lok Sabha Elections 2024: The campaign for the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections 2024 ended at 6 pm on Wednesday (April 17, 2024). In a statement issued by the Election Commission of India, it was said, “The campaign for the first phase of the Lok Sabha elections ended at 3 pm in the North East, while it ended at 6 pm in the rest of the country.” Earlier in the day, all the major political parties put in their full strength on the ground through rallies, road shows and public meetings. Prime Minister Narendra Modi reached Nalbari in Assam during the day, where he said in a rally that it is clearly visible what the result is going to be on June 4. In such a situation, people say – June 4, 400 plus! Modi government once again.

Congress MP Rahul Gandhi and SP chief Akhilesh Yadav held a joint press conference in Ghaziabad, UP, adjacent to Delhi, in the morning and during this they attacked the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi. A video song was also released during this time by the India Alliance, which includes videos and photos of Akhilesh Yadav and Rahul Gandhi together from the year 2017 till now.

Meanwhile, Congress General Secretary Priyanka Gandhi did her first roadshow in Saharanpur. She travelled 1.5 km in about 25 minutes and said- I am saying this everywhere that this election should be of the people. It should be on people’s issues. PM Narendra Modi and BJP leaders are not talking about unemployment, inflation, farmers, women. They are talking about diverting attention. Those who are in power are not worshippers of Mata Shakti and truth, they are worshippers of ‘power’.
