During his visit on Saturday (December 30), PM Modi went to the house of Mira Manjhi, a resident of this place and a beneficiary of government schemes, and had tea there.
While sipping tea, PM Modi also interacted with Meera Manjhi and her family. During this, PM Modi praised Meera Manjhi for the tea. Later, PM Modi also shared a post on his X handle with some pictures about the experience of visiting Mira Manjhi’s house.
‘I am a tea seller…’
Praising Meera Manjhi, PM Modi said, ‘Tea has been made very well and I am a tea seller, so I know how tea is made.’ Saying this, PM Modi himself and all the family members present there started laughing.
When PM Modi reached Meera Manjhi’s house
News agency ANI has shared the video of PM Modi’s visit to Meera Manjhi’s house. As soon as PM Modi reached the beneficiary’s house, he greeted him and the family members welcomed him by touching his feet. However, PM Modi said, ‘Don’t do this, you guys.’
PM Modi spoke to all the family members. He was also seen playing with a child. PM Modi asked, ‘Do you know why I have come to your house?’ PM Modi said, ‘We gave gas cylinders to 10 crore houses in the country, your number has become 10 crore. So I thought, I will go to the house of the one who has got the 10 croreth cylinder, it was found in Ayodhya itself, I said come on brother, let’s go to Meera’s house.’
Meera Manjhi said, ‘It’s good that you came to my house.’ PM Modi asked, ‘What do you cook on gas?’ In response, Meera said, ‘Today I have cooked dal, rice, vegetables and made tea for you.’
PM Modi said, ‘If you have made tea, then make me drink it.’ As soon as he took the cup of tea in his hand, PM Modi said, ”Tea with milk is very good, milk is available here?” Meera Manjhi said that she orders packet milk. As soon as he took a sip of tea, PM Modi said, ‘You drink very sweet tea.’ Meera Manjhi said, ”It (tea) becomes sweet because of us, I don’t know how.” On this, PM Modi and everyone present there started laughing.
PM Modi talked about the benefits of the schemes
PM Modi asked Meira Manjhi about the benefits of the schemes she received. Meera Manjhi told that she has got accommodation. She said that earlier she used to live in a hut. Electricity has also been available for three years. He told that the electricity bill comes to Rs 100-200 per month. Meera told that she got the gas on Friday (29 December). She said that earlier she used to cook food on stove and furnace. Meera told that now her time will be saved, due to which she will be able to give time to the child also.
PM Modi asked, ‘Mira ji, do you do some work also?’ On this he said, ‘We sell flowers… at the new ghat.’ PM Modi said that now a lot of people would be coming… Meera told that she also gets the benefit of 10 kg of grains. PM Modi said, ‘You got gas, electricity, houses, grains and water.’
When Meera Manjhi’s family said – You are the God of our people
The family members told PM Modi that you are the God of our people, on this PM Modi said, ‘No-no, God is Lord Ramchandra ji.’ Meera Manjhi’s family members said that they are so happy with PM Modi that they cannot express.
Meera Manjhi said that she had not even expected that PM Modi would come to her house. PM Modi also asked, ‘Is (the house) built as per your imagination?’ The family members said ‘yes’. I replied.
PM Modi asked whether bribes had to be paid for the housing scheme money?
Meera Manjhi told that she got Rs 2.5 lakh in three installments from the government scheme to build a house. The money came directly into the bank account. PM Modi also asked whether anyone had to pay bribe, to which Mira Manjhi said, ‘No.’ After this, PM Modi praised tea. PM Modi also took a photo with the entire family and then left from there.
PM Modi inaugurates redeveloped railway station and newly built airport
Let us tell you that on Saturday (December 30), PM Modi had reached Ayodhya to inaugurate the redeveloped railway station and the newly built airport of Ayodhya. He also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone of projects worth Rs 15,700 crore. PM Modi will also participate in the consecration program of Ram Temple in Ayodhya on January 22.
