Gurnam Singh Chaduni on Farmer’s Protest:Â National President of Bharatiya Kisan Union (Chadhuni) Gurnam Singh Chaduni has bluntly told the Central Government that till the demands of the farmers are not implemented, the agitation of the farmers of Haryana will continue.Â
Â
Farmer leader Chaduni, while addressing the journalists, said that it would be good if an agreement is reached through talks between the farmers of Punjab and the Central Government, but also said that the government should also guarantee the MSP of mustard and sunflower.Â
Questions raised on CM Khattar’s absence?
Gurnam Singh said that when the Chief Minister of Punjab is sitting with the farmers in the meeting with the Union Ministers, then why was the Chief Minister of Haryana not sitting? He too should have raised the voice of Haryana. On this occasion, Gurnam Singh Chaduni said that if the government does not accept the demands of the farmers of Haryana, then the farmers of the state will not step back in starting a bigger movement than Punjab.
‘Agreement should not be limited to Punjab’
Expressing doubt, Gurnam Chaduni said that the agreement between the farmers of Punjab and the Central Government should not be limited to Punjab. Whereas this agreement should be applicable to the farmers of the entire country. In fact, to find a solution to the problems of the agitating farmers, an important meeting of farmer organizations and Union Ministers was held late on Sunday (18 February). In this meeting, it was decided to give MSP to 5 crops, but oilseed crops were not included in it.
‘Special importance of oilseed crops in Haryana’
Union President Chaduni said that oilseed crops are important in Haryana. Unless these crops are included in the MSP, the decisions taken by the government will have no meaning for the farmers of Haryana. He said that millet was not mentioned among these crops nor was any area mentioned.  ‘Farmers of Haryana are not lagging behind in the movement’Â
Â
Farmer leader Chadhuni said that it is also an issue in which states MSP will be given. If Haryana is not included in this then the farmers of Haryana are ready for agitation. The farmers of Haryana are not behind in the movement being fought on behalf of the farmers. Farmers of Haryana have also played a role in this movement. Be it the matter of making toll plazas free or taking out tractor march.Â
‘Nowadays all work is connected to the internet’Â
On the question of closure of internet service, Gurnam Singh Chaduni said that nowadays all the work is being done through internet. People have stopped keeping money in their pockets and are transacting money through the internet. At the same time, children’s education is also getting disrupted because of the Internet. Farmer movement will not stop by shutting down the internet.
