Accident in Durg, Chhattisgarh: Eleven people were killed and more than 30 people were injured when a bus fell into a mine in Chhattisgarh‘s Durg district on Tuesday. Police officials gave this information. Officials said that eleven people travelling in the vehicle died and about 38 others were injured when the bus fell into a 50 feet deep mine of Murum (red soil) near Khapri village under Kumhari police station area.
He said that the bus of Kedia Distilleries located in Kumhari area had left with the employees and about 45 employees were travelling in the bus. Officials said that the incident happened at 8:30 pm on Tuesday night when the bus reached near Khapri village and went out of control and fell into the Murum mine.
According to the police, after getting information about the incident, a police team was sent to the spot and rescue work was started. He said that the dead bodies and the injured have been sent to the hospital and efforts are being made to remove the bus from the mine.
