Who is Pragya Mishra, whom OpenAI made its first employee in India?

Pragya Mishra News: OpenAI, run by Sam Altman, has appointed Pragya Mishra as its first employee in India. Sources told news agency IANS on Friday that Pragya Mishra has been appointed to lead public policy affairs and partnerships in the country. She has previously worked as Director of Public Affairs for Truecaller. Where she has worked closely with government ministries, investors, key stakeholders and media partners. Prior to this, she has also worked with Meta Platform for three years.

She also led WhatsApp’s campaign against misinformation in 2018 and has worked with Ernst & Young as well as the Royal Danish Embassy in Delhi. Mishra received her MBA from the International Management Institute in 2012. 

After completing her graduation in commerce from Delhi University, she also did a diploma in Bargaining and Negotiations from the London School of Economics and Political Science. She has been working as an influencer on Instagram. She has also been doing the Pragyan podcast covering topics like meditation and consciousness.
