Akhilesh Yadav’s Masterstroke: Unraveling the Mystery Behind 7 Seats to Jayant and Charu’s Election Ambitions!

Akhilesh's Political Gamble: In 2019, RLD had got Mathura, Muzaffarnagar and Baghpat seats from SP under the alliance, but RLD lost all the three seats. Despite this, Akhilesh has given 7 seats to Jayant this time. Decoding the 7 Seats to Jayant Amid RLD's 2019 Setback!

Akhilesh’s Masterstroke: Uncover the strategic move by Akhilesh Yadav as we delve into the mystery behind allocating 7 crucial seats to Jayant Chaudhary, despite RLD’s previous loss in Mathura, Muzaffarnagar, and Baghpat. Explore the intricate dynamics of this alliance, revealing the high-stakes decisions shaping Uttar Pradesh’s electoral landscape in 2024.

The seat sharing formula between SP and RLD is under discussion in Uttar Pradesh. According to sources, Akhilesh Yadav has given 7 seats to Jayant Chaudhary as per the agreement. That means Jayant Chaudhary’s party will field its candidates on 7 seats in the Lok Sabha elections.

It is being said that Kairana, Hathras, Mathura, Muzaffarnagar, Baghpat, Bijnor and Amroha seats will go to RLD’s account. All the seats are from Western UP.

In 2009, RLD was in alliance with Bharatiya Janata Party and won Amroha, Bijnor, Baghpat, Mathura and Hathras seats. However, after this the performance of RLD continued to decline.

In 2019, RLD had got Mathura, Muzaffarnagar and Baghpat seats from SP under the alliance, but the party faced a crushing defeat on all three seats.

Still why did Akhilesh give 7 seats to Jayant?

1. According to sources, the biggest reason for giving more seats to RLD is the state level Status is to be snatched away. In 2023, the Election Commission had snatched the status of state level party from RLD citing low vote percentage.

To regain the status of a state level party, Jayant will have to poll 8 percent of the total valid votes in lok sabha elections, For this, RLD wanted to fight on as many seats as possible.

2.The seat sharing formula has been decided on the basis of assembly only. During the assembly elections, SP had given 33 seats to RLD. If we look at this mathematics in Lok Sabha, then it fits around 6.56 i.e. around 7 seats.

3. By finalizing the seat with Jayant, Akhilesh has given the message that SP is the largest party in UP in the India alliance. Recently, Akhilesh Yadav had said that SP will work on giving seats, not asking for them.

The agreement between Akhilesh and Jayant has also put to rest the question of BSP joining the alliance.

Now 3 questions, which are being discussed in UP politics…

Question-1: What will happen to Malik and Hasan family?

Iqra Hasan from Kairana seat of Western UP and Harendra Malik from Muzaffarnagar seat have been preparing to contest elections for a long time. . Both the leaders are currently in Samajwadi Party.

In 2019, Iqra’s mother Tabassum had also contested the election from Kairana seat on the SP symbol, while Harendra’s son Pankaj is currently the SP MLA. In such a situation the question arises what will happen to these two leaders?

Talking to ABP News, Harendra Malik says – Whatever Jayant Chaudhary and Akhilesh Yadav want, only that will happen within the India alliance in Muzaffarnagar. I have been preparing for the elections for a long time. Both contesting and not contesting elections are in the hands of the National President.

According to SP sources, after seat sharing with Jayant, Akhilesh Yadav discussed with Malik about the politics of Western UP for about 30 minutes. It is being said that SP will have only two candidates in Kairana and Muzaffarnagar, but both will get symbols from RLD.

Will you contest elections on RLD symbol? On this question, Harendra Malik says – I will not say anything on this right now. Whatever decision will be taken further, you all will know it.

Question-2: Will Jayant’s wife Charu contest the elections?

After the alliance between SP and RLD, a question is also in discussion whether this time Jayant’s wife Charu will contest the election? Will Choudhary also contest the elections?

Charu is being discussed about contesting elections for two reasons.

1. Ajit Singh has passed away and Jayant Chaudhary is an MP from Rajya Sabha. If Jayant contests the elections, he may have to vacate the Rajya Sabha seat.

2. Charu had campaigned vigorously for RLD candidates in the 2022 elections. 8 candidates of RLD had won in this election.

Big leaders of RLD say that Jayant Chaudhary has to take the final decision on whether Charu will contest the elections. If RLD makes Charu contest the elections, then the safest seat will be Baghpat.

Last time Jayant Chaudhary had contested elections from Baghpat seat, but BJP’s Satyapal Singh defeated him by 23 thousand votes.

Charu Chaudhary is a fashion designer by profession. She married Jayant in the year 2003. Both also have 2 children.

Question- 3: What will happen to Danish Ali of Amroha?

Suspense continues regarding suspended BSP MP Kunwar Danish Ali. Danish is MP from Amroha. After leaving BSP, Danish was in touch with Congress, but this seat has now gone to RLD’s account.

It is being said that RLD can field a Jat face from Amroha. In 2014, Rakesh Tikait contested elections from Amroha on RLD ticket. This seat is Jat, Muslim and Dalit dominated.

In 2019, Danish Ali, contesting from the BSP-SP alliance, defeated BJP’s Kanwar Singh Tanwar.
